About the Limited Edition Photos

All images are printed to the highest standard using archival inks and acid free photo paper. It is this combination of archival inks and acid free photo paper that results in images that have lightfastness properties which far exceed that of traditional silver-halide photos of the past, provided of course that the image is not placed in a position that catches full direct sunlight. Direct sunlight is the enemy of all forms of artwork.

The images produced are printed on heavy weight (315gsm) photo paper that has a non-glare, non gloss appearance and once framed under glass, has a depth of colour and detail that is hard to match by any other photographic paper.

With regard to the Limited Edition number, with the exception of the smallest size available, all images have a realistic Limited Edition number of only 50 in total. They are all individually signed and numbered with no further images produced once the Limited Edition number has been sold.

From looking at my images, you can see that there are a number of size variations available to choose from. This should suit most needs but in the event that you are after a different size, please let me know. This applies particularly to the images which show a 60 inch size as these images have the resolution to be printed bigger if required.

About The Cameras.

From time to time I have the questioned asked of me what camera do I use? For the images presented on this site, most were taken using film cameras. Some on 35mm, but the majority on larger format 6 x 9, 6 x 12 and 6 x 17. It is these larger format cameras that provide so much detail, that large images can be printed without loss of detail and sharpness.

I have also recently acquired a Sony A900 full frame digital camera and together with sharp lenses can produce outstanding images. Digital technology has improved markedly and is quite capable of producing quality images.
